Pieces of waves

into the oceans
that have poured from my eyes
I see my own reflection
but am made unclear
by visions of you
rippling across the surface
our images weave
in and out of
one another
until I can't tell
what I was
before you

tear stained kisses
bleed out the memories
one by one
we must walk our own
seperate paths now
untangle our limbs
our lips
our hearts
and watch each other
walk away

A fog drenched city
has stolen my heart
and crept into my bones
pounding its way into my marrow-
that same tired anticipation
or dread
that trapped me in another life
I look at the landscape made of
faces made of
billions of pores made of
people's tired expressions
Life bouncinng off of
not radiating from
multicolored masks
and I see all this
through stolen glances
on streets dimly lit
and hope
for some sunshine to filter
through the fog

Heaven gold
scattered carelessly on the dewy pine tops
light reflecting
from the ground up
I am falling asleep in the lull
of the calm after
being shaken
Still tonight
Speaking lights
scattered about
scar the water's surface
and multiply
in front of my eyes
delicate and alive
I am still scabbing over
